Financial Aid
Scholarships, Discounts & Tuition Credits
At SCA, we are committed to the idea that the
cost of a Christian education should not be a barrier to a
family who would like to give this gift to their children.
Knowing that a tuition-based education can be financially
challenging for some families, we have developed the
following sources of financial aid and tuition credits.
Please
note that the actual operating cost for one student at SCA
is $6000. Through generous donations and school fundraisers
we are able to offer a tuition that is considerably lower.
Please commit to supporting the SCA fundraising program.
Tuition Scholarship Fund: (Excludes
Pre-School students)
For the 2008-2009 school year, SCA is expecting to raise
funds to distribute to SCA families through the Tuition
Scholarship Fund. Any interested family may complete a SCA
tuition scholarship application. The amount awarded to each
family is based on need and recipients are expected to
maintain a 75% GPA or above in order to be considered the
following year. Parents of recipients are required to
commit AMEN hours: (attend all school meetings, evening
events, and work at least two fundraisers.) Of course, your
participation in your child’s education is invaluable and
your continued volunteer help is greatly appreciated!
CREDITS & DISCOUNTS
Pastoral/Full-time Ministerial Credit:
Families of full-time salaried senior pastors
are eligible for a 50% tuition discount. This credit does
not apply to fees. A letter on church letterhead certifying
salaried employment of 30 hours a week or more must be
presented at the time of registration to qualify. No
additional Tuition Scholarship Fund may be sought.
SCRIP Credit:
Each family will receive a credit to their SCA account for
50% of the profit that the school receives from the SCRIP
that is purchased through the family. For more information
please contact the school.
These are credits only and will not be
dispersed in cash. Positive family balances at the
conclusion of the school year will be carried over into the
following year.
Multiple Child Discount:
Families with more than one Child qualify for the multiple
child discount of 5% for each additional child.
Private Donations:
We do have limited resources for families with hardship
cases. Please inquire at the office.

FACT:
In order for SCA to reach true financial stability, allowing
us to fundraise solely for specific needs such as new
technology or scholarship funds, we need to charge a tuition
that is more closely in line with our normal operating
costs.
PLAN:
A modest tuition increase of less than 5% is planned for the
2008-09 school year. The table below contains the new fee &
tuition rates. Registration fee (see tuition & fees, pg3) is
due at registration.
