Annual Golf Tournament

This year's annual "Dwayne Purnell Memorial Golf Tournament" was another great success. The tournament was held on Friday, April 6th, 2018, at the Bay Club Golf Course in Berlin, Maryland. The Bay Club as always did a superb job. We had a wonderful meal afterwards as well as door prizes and an amazing auction (thanks pastor Sean for stepping up to be our auctioneer). The turn-out was down this year but the competition was excellent and because of some very generous donors we raised more money than in the past three years. The weather was beautiful and the course was amazing. We played a best ball format and everyone seemed to truly enjoy themselves. We want to thank the Bay Club Golf Course, Rene Davidson and her team of volunteers, the family and friends of Dwayne Purnell, and all the wonderful golfers who joined us on the links this year. We look forward to our next tournament and encourage you to call the school office at 410-213-7595 to make your reservations for next year.

Individual golfers are $100, a team is $400. To sponsor a hole costs $150.00 and to sponsor a hole and a team is $500. All proceeds go to sponsor the Seaside Christian Academy, a Pre-k through 9th grade school committed to a quality education and a desire to honor God and our founding fathers. We hope to see you on the links.

Race For Education

Our first "Fund Raiser" for the year, our annual Race for Education has been a wonderful success for the school through the years. This is a fun and easy fund raiser for the students and faculty, as well as our school families and we hope to achieve all of our goals this year. We will be sending out letters of request for contributions from family and friends and expect the response to as amazing as ever. We will go to Northside Park in Ocean City where we will walk the approximately 3 miles around the park. We will have some food, games, and fellowship. The children always have a great time and we get to know our families better. Let me encourage you to continue to give generously this year. We are looking forward to this years event which will be held on October 5th. Thank you so much for participating in this important fund raiser.

Seaside Prince and Princess Ball 2018

2018 Annual Prince and Princess Ball - The Galaxy Ball

Well, the annual "Seaside Prince and Princess Ball" is over for this year, but what wonderful time we had. The Holiday Inn located on 66th Street Ocean Front in Ocean City, Md. did an amazing job hosting our event for the second year in a row.

This event provided a wonderful opportunity for Fathers and Daughters, Moms and Sons, for families to spend time together creating lasting memories. This year's theme was centered around "Star Wars" and DJ Wax doing the music,  there was dancing, a hot lunch with drink especially catered for guests of all ages, photo opportunities, and much more! So many came dressed for the occasion, there was Chewbacca, Han Solo, Ren, Fenn, Boba Fett, Star Troopers, Kylo Ren, even Darth Vader made an appearance. Queen Amadala (Lemon aka Debbie Campbell) was coronated our Queen of the Galaxy and did a fantastic job. Queen Rene Davidson also did an amazing job leading our team of volunteers this year. Queen Amadala aka Lemon sent out this little note to everyone, "What a wonderful day! Thank you, everyone! This was a phenomenal team to be part of. Your creativity was off the charts. I wish I could have been more involved. I can’t imagine a better way to spend a day and thank you all for your efforts and contributions."

The turnout was great, the food was fun, and the day was beautiful. We want to recognize our committee who did a superb job from the decorations to the sponsorships. Rene Davidson served as our chair, but she had some terrific helpers: Julie DuChene, Anna Fritz, Rachel Buxbaum, Michelle Clemente, Jessica Pollmeier, Helene Clifton, Janel Warren, Nicole Zang-Taylor, Clare Davy, Terry Davis, Patrick DuChene, Jason Fritz, and of course our two other Queens of the Ball, Debbie Campbell and Maureen Purnell.

We had so many sponsors this year. We appreciate each of them and want to especially thank our Jedi sponsors in the list at the end. But we also had numerous donors for the "Chinese Auction" and our silent auction. DJ Wax did a wonderful job as our announcer as well as our DJ. Words cannot express how grateful we are for all of these amazing people and companies.

All proceeds support Seaside Christian Academy, and this years income will be the largest we have had since beginning the annual Ball. In spite of the success financially for the school, the best part of the ball was the great family fun we had. The Star Wars theme was a true hit and everyone seemed to really get into it.

We are looking forward to next year's ball and wondering can we possibly top this year, we will certainly try. We are looking for volunteers to be a part of next years planning and coordinating team. If you would like to join the team, please call Pastor Terry Davis at the office 410-213-7595. Let's make next year's Prince and Princess Ball the very best ever.

If you have pictures from this year’s ball and would not mind sharing them with us, please email them to us at seasidechristianacademy@hotmail.com or upload them to our facebook page where you can find more pictures from the ball. Thank you.

Seaside Christian Academy Scrip Program

The scrip program is an amazing program that works year round for our families. This is an opportunity to purchase gifts and gift cards for all the things you already participate in. Things such as restaurants, theaters, gas stations, grocery stores, and clothing stores are just a few of the places we already spend money each month. By signing up for the scrip program or purchasing gift cards through the Scrip program you will spend no more money that you would normally spend, but the school will get a percentage of your purchase back from the vendor. It is a great win-win program. Check out this link to see how you can register for this amazing program and to see what vendors are available and how much the school will get back when you purchase through the Scrip program. Sign up for Scrip Now!

Scrip Cards can also be purchased by calling or visiting the school. Just let us know which cards you want and send a check to the school for amount or purchase.

School Box Top Program

Box Tops Education

Don’t forget the box tops for education that come on so many products you purchase at the grocery store and retail outlets. Just cut them off and send or bring them to the school. Just one more way you can help the school at no cost to yourself.

Remember You Can Always Donate Now!

Donations are one of the great gifts from friends that help us provide scholarships and financial aid to many families who could not afford to be here without your assistance. We would truly like to have more benefactors who would be willing to provide scholarships to students in need. Please prayerfully consider becoming one of these benefactors. We appreciate gifts of time or money. You can donate using the DONATE button at the bottom of the page or you can contact the SCA office at 410-213-7595 or mail your donation to:
