History of the School
Seaside Christian Academy opened their doors in 2007
under the authority of the pastors of the evangelical
churches of the Worcester and Sussex Counties. Seaside
Christian Academy was established out of the conviction that
Christian school education is essential for the local church
to effectively disciple its familes to be strong, whole and
healthy. Seaside Christian Academy (SCA) is currently
renting facilities and playing fields on the 24 acres behind
the White Marlin Mall in West Ocean City, Maryland from the
Ocean City Baptist Church.
SCA is a
stand-alone 501c3 non-profit corporation. SCA provides a
full day adademic program for children from age 4 up to the
8th grade.
SCA has
a seven-member school board which is demographically
representative of the community. SCA also has a Pastoral
Advisory Board that gives both practical advice and
direction to the board and administration.
